iPhone will not connect to computer.

Alright, I am pretty frustrated. Today, I finally decided to update my iphone 3GS running 3.1.2 to ios4. It worked, and all was well. Until I accidently put it into DFU mode. No problem, I thought, I'll just turn it back on... or by itunes reckoning, insist I restore.

My bad.

Well, the restore was not working correctly, and I thought it would be a good idea to just brute force it since nothing should be going wrong.

iTunes finally decided to just not recognize my phone, and my computer says the device driver can not be found, although when pursued further it says that it is up to date and can be found. There is now three short beeps when I plug it in to my computer instead of the functional two.

My iPhone is not bricked, I was able to just turn it back on with all my data safe and working perfectly, but it still won't allow me to sync with itunes or charge with my computer. Help? 😟

make sure all apple services are starting with computer, windows/accessories/run/ type "msconfig" then hit ok,
under "services" tab put a CHECK in the box that says hide all microsoft services,
then make sure there is a check in any apple programs ie: apple mobile device, bonjour service and ipod service.
Now under the "startup" tab make sure all APPLE programs have a checkmark ie: itunes and quicktime.

restart the computer

if none of that works..../

in device manager right click on the apple driver and update if it works restart computer, if it doesnt work uninstall the driver and restart computer and then plug phone in.

iPhone will not connect to computer.
