mobileme, mail, to dos and iphone - what????

Can anybody please help me clarify how I can get the to dos I've just made on my home mac in Mail in the .mac To Do folder to sync using mobileme so I can get them on my iPhone? And what about notes? Do they appear in the Notes app on the phone? This should be a lot easier than it appears. I already get my mobileme mail on my iPhone. I use mobileme to sync Address Book, iCal calendars and Bookmarks. Must I check Mail Accounts to sync just to get to dos and notes?
