user manual on the 3GS iphone

Is there anyway to downlaod the manual for the 3GS iphone on to the phone? I was recently somewhere where I could not get a signal and needed to look up something.

3GS, iPhone OS 3.1.3

If you have the new operating system (IOS4) on your phone, the bookmark is already there. Just go to Safari/Bookmarks/bottom of page...there you will find the User's Guide. The new guide covers both the IPhone4 and the 3GS.

This was already there on the 3.1.3 but I mean is there anyway to download the manual physically to the phone so it there peramanently even without an internet connection?

If you have iOS 4 on your iPhone, you can download the manual
<http://manuals.info.apple.com/en US/iPhone_iOS4_UserGuide.pdf>
on your computer. Install iBooks on the iPhone
<http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/ibooks/id364709193?mt=8>

Drag the PDF to iTunes , then sync your iPhone. You can then read the manual with iBooks.

Thanks for your post. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to do it, but it's now on my iBooks as a pdf file.
