Is anyone else having this problem and how do you handle it? I keep getting emails that say no sender no content with dates like 12/31/69 or 12/31/00 on them They are filling up my inbox and I can't seem to delete them and they don't open either. I have reset my phone twice but a day or two later they come back I went to the Apple Store but they were not able to help They only appear on my iphone not on my ipad or my macbook
I just started with this problem yesterday, dozens of emails no sender no subject dated 12/31/69, I never tried to open one. And today the emails are all blank and dated 12/31/00.
I don't want to start resetting my phone, I don't want to lose everything due to some glitch, that already happened to me about 2 months after I got the 3GS.
It was scary at first, I am glad I am not the only one and it doesn't look malicious. I hope Apple fixes it soon.
If you switch to another mailbox (trash, sent, etc) then switch back to your inbox you should see your messages correctly. I'm also seeing no messages in my inbox although my mail badge shows I have mail. When I switch back and forth on mailboxes I finally see my mail.
Was getting these 12/31/69 emails as well but they all randomly disappeared after a while. Weird... But my Unread flags aren't updating. I'm hoping this bug will work itself out because it only started over the weekend.
Same problem here. Seems to be random as to how they show up and when they disappear. Also, count on number of unread emails (legit not phantom 40 year old e-mails) is never reset even after reading the messages.
I have iTunes set to sync my email settings between the iPhone and my computer. Is there really any reason to do so other than the first time? Since it only syncs the settings, it's not something that changes - so why have it sync each time? or am I missing something?
I checked my email on my iPhone today and I had 10 emails from "No Sender" and dated 12/31/69. Does anyone know how to delete the email? All my friends tell me I should restore my phone. Help!
I cannot believe this problem has been around since June and Apple has not weighed in on this, posted anything to its website or made any workarounds or updates available to address it - at least none that I can find anywhere. I'm very disappointed - thought they were better than that.
i am getting these today!
seems like they are related to the "all inboxes" feature---when i am not using it and going to each account separately they are not visible.
