Can you put apps into folders?

I'd like to declutter. Can I put apps in a folder? And can I hide them altogether?

Ipad, Mac OS X (10.5)

When iOS 4 for the iPad comes out in fall you will be able to put them in folders.

You can't hide them.

No folders, buy you can move them to other pages. You could have one page for the built-in Apple apps, one page for games, one page for utilities, etc.

I can put apps in different folders on my iphone but not my ipad. I am an amateur.... I thought they would both do this.

IPhone uses iOS4 already. IPad won't get it till later in the year as has been said already.
