iPhoto cant import video from iphone 4

Question

iPhoto cant import video from iphone 4

So i cant import any video to iphoto from my iPhone 4. It gives me a error stating

"Error Downloading image.
iPhoto cannot import your photos
because there was a problem downloading an image"

Image capture wont work either.

I've tried deleting everything from the camera roll. Shoot another video and connect and I still get the same error..

Im still having the problem..

Ive tried resetting the phone to factory settings.

Reinstalling iLife.

Rebuilding iPhoto.

Deleting iPhoto Caches and restarting the computer..

Nothing works.

After Speaking to apple care 3 times. They could not give me a solution. They simply told me to go to a apple store and they may replace my phone. What a pain

I've tried an alternate solution because I'm not sure this is a hardware problem but, actually, a software malfunction.

Step one: turn off and on your iPhone.
Step Two : launch iTunes and iPhoto
Step three : connect the iPhone to the computer
Then importation will be possible.

Try and tell me if it's working for you as it worked for me each time I've tried
Nevertheless I don't buy Apple product to spent my time trying to patch malfunctions

this is ABSURD. i recorded beautiful video tonight and now i cannot import it to my macbook pro. i continually get the error: an error occured while importing. The item ‘IMG_1339.MOV” was not imported.

tried the above fixes. jesus christ apple, can you get anything right with this phone?

Its seems to me its more of a iPhoto trouble then the iPhone.. I have 2 iphone 4's and they are both giving me the error message when trying to import video. Photos import fine.

Going to try it out on another Mac and see if i get the same error..

Will update what happens

FIXED!
I was having this problem, tried the suggestions above no help.
Mine was fixed by rebooting my imac. All syncing perfectly now.
I rarely reboot my mac, using sleep mode.
Hope this helps someone else!

I experienced this last night, and I was very scared to loose some precious videos of my younglings .
I got it fixed by doing this:
Deleted an iMovie video I edited on my iPhone 4.
In my case it seems that it was the reason that prevented getting my videos out of the iPhone.
At each of the tries to sync the process started in iPhoto and then it suddenly stopped and gave the error message. At the end the iPhone showed only a few items while still connected to my Mac and iPhoo open, really scary. After unplugging and checking in the iPhone everything was still there.
Image capture also wasn't able to get the videos and photos out if it until I deleted the iPhone iMovie generate video.

So for me it seems to be a problem with my iMac and not the phone. I have two iPhone 4's And they are both giving me the same error

So i decided to go to a Friends house with both phones. Video synced perfect.No problems at all..
I cam back home and tried to import the same videos I just did at my friends and got the error.

Looks like ill be doing a new install on my mac..
Will update if that works
