Hello and welcome to Apple Discussions.
The loss of data on the page does not sound normal. What you have to determine is whether it is driver related or the application. As a test, I suggest you create another print queue to the Ricoh using the Generic PCL Laser Printer in the Print Using menu. While this driver only gives you B&W output, it is one way to check if the same symptom occurs. Note also that with this Generic PCL driver, the resolution is set to 300dpi. So if you open the print dialog and select the Printer Features menu before you print, you can increase the resolution to 600dpi.
With regards to the graphics, I have seen problems with some drivers when the document contains transparent layers. The resulting print only shows the upper most layer. In some cases, settings within the driver have been successful in obtaining the correct prints. For the drivers that have no settings to adjust, the conversion to PDF and subsequent printing from Preview rather than Acrobat has resolved the issue. Or if you use Acrobat for PDFs, you can open the Advanced tab within the Acrobat print dialog and select to 'Print as image'.
