HI and welcome to Apple Discussions...

From the Safari Menu Bar click View/Customize Toolbar.

Just drag the items you want to the Toolbar or use the Default toolbar.

If you had any third party add-ons installed before updating to Safari 5, that could be the problem, particularly if it's ctloader/Conduit.

Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem. Safari: Add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues

Hello Carolyn and thanks for the reply!
Unfortunately my "customize toolbar" menu looks like this...
http://bit.ly/9oCuDw
no separator, spacer or flexible spacer are available, neither if i drag the default toolbar to my browser.

the only plugin wich could cause problems is "deliciousSafari", so i removed it, i disabled extensions and reinstalled safari.
but unfortunately my separator are still not here! 😟

i also tried to modify the plist with a text editor with no luck.

what can i also try?
thanks a lot.
Luca
