Where can I buy an iPad?

Nowhere seems to be selling iPad. I just went to PC World and they don't have any in stock and when I asked them when they will get more back in they seemed very vague and said we get orders in every so often. LIKE THATS VERY HELPFUL??? On the Apple website it says shipping in 7-10 days and I live no where near an Apple store. It just seems so stupid that I can't even lay my hands on one. It's been 3 months since release you would have thought that supply would have caught up with demand by now...

Hi - PC World has had deliveries over the last couple of days - their Stoke store was out of stock for weeks but showed in stock for all models yesterday so I bought one. They have them in Stockport and Nottingham so if you can travel to a store, you can check online and reserve one - thats what I did 🙂

I wound up ordering on line. Even the Apple store in my area was out of stock except for the most expensive 64gb 3g model. Even my delivery time is longer than the promised 5-10 business days. I just think they are having a hard time keeping up with the orders.

I happened to be in a best buy and asked if they had any, it turned out that they had just gotten a delivery so I was able to grab a 64GB 3G.

Hello

I am also in the north east of england and was able to purchase the 64gb 3G version from PC world at the team valley retail park in gateshead.

This was last saturday, they had more than 4 in stock then according to there customer service telephone guy.

If you give them a ring, they can check the stock around the area and reserve you one if you wish.

Thanks for the help everyone. Yeah I live in Middlesbrough and I checked the one in teesside park but I only want the 16gb wifi one, maybe the 32gb wifi. I actually would not want 3g.

I got mine at Best Buy. Their web site even allows you to check stock at stores in your area.

Best Buy is US only at the moment, the original poster is in the UK.

Northern Ireland seems to have zero stock also, I have tried every PC world and the flagship Apple Store in Belfast. They have had zero stock for a while now.

I am on the priority list at the Apple Store since Friday so I will see how that turns out.

Ah, yeah. Forgot the first one had opened recently in Essex. I was just pointing out to the US based poster that we don't have one on every street corner yet!

Its strange how little stock the UK seems to be getting.

I phoned all my local PC Worlds tonight (30 miles radius) and they have had no stock at all since the iPad was released!

Apple should be shipping these things in the 100's to their outlet stores not in the 10's.

Yeah the things are selling like hotcakes. Not one PC World in over 50 miles from where I am is selling the 16GB WiFi and not one in 30 miles is selling the 32GB WiFi and I think it's pretty much the same story with the 64GB WiFi. I don't know about the 3G because I'm not really after any of the 3G models, but from what I heard it's pretty much the same story with all the 3G models as well.

All I want is a 32GB WiFi.

The female employee in the Apple Store told me the best selling iPad was the 32GB 3G model. I put my name down for the non 3G just because I thought I would have a better chance of getting it!

I will start counting the days from Monday. Going by previous experience with Apple I have a feeling I might get an email from them next week at some stage.

I'm in US when I got mine the rep told me they sold 20in the last half hour, so demand is still big for Ipad.
