How do I change my iTunes account ID to my Apple ID?

How do I change my iTunes account ID to my Apple ID?

I originally set up my iTunes account with an ID or username and password that is different from my Apple ID and password. I have been told that I can change my iTunes account ID to be the same as my Apple ID, but I can find no instructions on how to do that. Can anyone who has done this advise me as to how it is done?

I have the same problem and please let me know if you have received any news in regards. I have tried to call the support which I even pay for via my Mac Pro and got cut off twice and the last time I could not wait anymore. Here is my problem. My partner set me up with my current main email (gmail) but I want to use my mobileme account for everything for keeping things simple and also to fully utilise the benefit of the package, any ideas on how to do it?
