Voice mail password?

Voice mail password?

Does anyone know how to get rid of the message saying "please enter voice mail password"? I have never set up any voice mail password before (I don't even know how to set it up at the first place) and after I upgrade to ios4 this message is popping up every time I use the phone. It is very annoying that I have to constantly hit cancel. Anyone has any idea to fix this?

iPhone 3GS, iOS 4

Dial 611 on your phone and enter the prompts to reset your voicemail password. Once you've reset the password, if you get the prompt again, simply enter that new password.

Thanks gdgmacguy! It looks like the issue is resolved now. I made a few calls and the message does not pop up. Thanks again!

CW - your problem just resolved spontaneously? My 3G reset itself spontaneously today just after I declined an incoming call. Now the password prompt is coming up every time I try to access my voice mail..... but I never set a password.
