facebook chat not working
Why i can't use my facebook chat with i'm connected to WiFi...I'm using my Ipod touch 32gb and OS 4.0..thanks!

Facebook only works with the iPhone version 4. Facebook requires a forward-facing camera. Currently the iPod Touch doesn't have any cameras. Hopefully in the next iPod Touch update back and forward facing cameras will be included.

SBA-Mac, you gotta be joking with that reply. In case you are living on another planet, Facebook is a social media tool through which people communicate through wall posts, simple chat and private messages. It has nothing to do with video chat, and you don't need any kind of camera. It works just fine on iPod touch.
For the person who started this thread, you can update your Facebook app by launching App store on your iPod touch, and you will be prompted to update any apps that need to be updated, or open iTunes on your computer, log in with your credentials and click app updates if there are any. Sync your iPod after it's done.

i don't know why i still can't use my facebook chat...i'm having the latest version of FB and my Ipod Touch is running iOS4..everytime i'm sending message i am getting an error msg saying "Your Message is Not sent this Time" and i am having this msg since the first time i used my Ipod..any help please!thanks

I got too involved with the new features for iPhone 4 as discussed by Steve Jobs, I got confused with the new app called FaceTime and just thought of that item only. Yes, I'm familiar with the website called Facebook and the Facebook app. I got mixed up the chat feature of Facebook with FaceTime.

I too am having this problem. I've updated the app, but still can't use chat. I get the same message that you're getting.
Wish I had an answer for us both, but I don't at this time. If I do find the reason, I'll let you know.

Oh I see, clear as mud. I haven't been reading about new iPhone features too much, so Facetime is something new to me.
As for facebook app, I know that chat feature has always been a little buggy, no matter what version. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I hope they work on it in the future.
