Connecting 3rd Gen iPod Touch to Home Cinema System

Hello,

I have a 3rd Gen iPod Touch 32GB. I just bought a Samsung HWC560s Home Cinema System, without, and was pleased that it had a universal iPod dock which I whacked my iPod dock adapter into. At first, it happily continued to play the music I was already playing, but after about twenty seconds the Samsung thingy woke up and realised it had an iPod talking to it, and took control over it, at which point the iPod came up with 'ACCESSORY CONNECTED', and stopped playing my playlist. It started, instead, playing all songs alphabetically. While I can use the remote for the Samsung to go forward and back, I can't actually SELECT what I want to play, which is more than frustrating given that my iPod Touch is full (even a 64GB wouldn't have been enough, siiiiigh), and I don't want to start every listening session with the A-Team theme (awesome though that may be!)

I figured fellow Mac users would be more helpful than Samsung support, so I'm asking you guys here first 😀

Any ideas?

I just worked it out, but I'm going to leave this up here in case anyone else has the (non)-issue - the Samsung box has several input options for iPod - iPod Audio (which does the same on a 5th Gen iPod - no controls, Accessory Connected, alphatical songs GO), and iPod Video. If you chuck it on iPod Video it lets you do what you want.

Makes you wonder why they bothered, really :P
