Mar 10, 2013 5:10 AM in response to twosheds55by MartinezI,So I got a new laptop yesterday and I connect it to my wifi. Next thing I know I have no wifi on my iPod 4G or iPhone 5. Is it because I have 4 PC's under my wifi? I've tried many things but I can't find anything out. I tried forgetting the wifi and reconnecting but it just always says the same, "Unable to join". I really really need help. Please. Someone. HELP ME!

Mar 10, 2013 4:49 AM in response to MartinezIby GrumpyGator,So, the only thing that has been changed is that you added a new device to your current network?
I suppose that its possible that the router has a device limit, but you would have to verify that with the router specs.
I would first check for a firmware update on your router then re-boot it.
I would then disconnect every device from the network then try connecting your iphone and ipod to your network seperately. If both connect, then try connecting each pc, one at a time. Leave each one connected for some time before connecting the next.
FYI: Don't post your personal contact info on this forum.

Mar 10, 2013 9:58 AM in response to MartinezIby Blondee024,I had this same issue, and I thought it was my iPhone. It would say the same error message every time I tried connecting. This went on for months. I didn't think it was my router or modem because everything else was connected. But one day I called my Internet provider and come to find out that my Internet provider was the one screwing me up.
I'm not sure if all modems are the same with each provider but, they had change the settings to the modem so I could connect my phone and similar devices. Someone on their end messed up and had it on a different setting that only lets pc's connect. Since I had it switched my phone connects everytime now.

Mar 28, 2013 10:58 PM in response to twosheds55by Summer_Sunshine,i too had the same problem. iPhone wouldn't connect to my home wi-fi. after reading every comment on this thread and trying everything, I decided to contact my wifi service provider (time warner) i chatted with a representative and told her my problem. she suggested a refresh signal to my router. as soon as the refesh signal was complete i was able to connect..... it was as simple and as complicated as that
btw, if you decide to contact your service provider, be sure you mention that you need to enable WMM (wireless multi-media) this is also what was keeping me from connecting. only pc's were able to connect before i contacted them
