I can't get into my iphone!

Question

I can't get into my iphone!

I have no SIM card & I updated my software to the latest update (4) and now I cannot get into my iPhone - it keeps telling me to insert the SIM card which does not exist.

Can this be fixed or how do I revert it back?

You're stuck until you put in a SIM card. No way around it.

yea it can be fixed just put in any att sim card only way to get pass that screen unless you downgrade and hacktivate it maybe not sure.

If that was a phone purchased in the US, it's toast because it can't be upgraded or downgraded now without an AT&T SIM card.

sorry didnt know u were in canada no way to tell that from the post .. so whoever the carrier up there is slap in a sim card from a friends phone hook it up just so it activates and give him back his sim

In this case, you need a Telus, Bell, Rogers, Fido or Virgin Mobility Sim card.

Why would I buy it in America? I have had this phone for about a year - I just upgraded it today & I have never used a SIM card for it.

Since you mentioned that you don't have AT&T in Canada, it was not illogical to assume you might have purchased the phone in the US.
