iMac 27 video in

Hello!

I've video surveillance block with D-sub outpit (like old PC's)
Till today picture displayed on PC display, but today i've bought my iMac and there is no place for second display.

So, i want make, image from surveillance system appear on my imac via video input.

So, is it possible? I found right adapter?

MB953RS, Mac OS X (10.6.4)

You say your surveillance system has D-sub (presumably, VGA) output. The adapter you link to has HDMI input.

What you need is a VGA to Mini-DisplayPort adapter that does VGA -> Mini DP (Apple's adapter only does Mini DP -> VGA). If such an adapter exists, it must not be easy to find. Also, you will need another cable for audio, if any.

I think i should croos fingers, because that product don't sell in Russia, so i need to arder them via Ebay and hope that it will work for me 🙂

This looks like it might work. Of course, the camera will use the full display, and you won't be able to go any higher than 720p.

For $200 you might want to invest in a separate monitor with a VGA port.
