Thanks for your email. We have had several reports of the iPad version of
Angry Birds crashing and have found out that the cause is a low memory
error. On Thursday evening we submitted another update for Angry Birds HD
which should fix the issue.
A temporary fix to the Angry Birds HD issue is to reboot your iPad; a reboot
will cause the device to reallocate memory allowing Angry Birds to run more
smoothly until the update is live.
Same here. I have it on my iphone 3g running OS4. I got all the levels to open up after playing 1 week. Then is crashed. Had to re-install and I lost all the data which *****. Waiting for my iphone 4 in July.
I have figured out how to fix this issue with Angry Birds. Bought it and worked fine for a while, then just wouldn't open.
Anyway, the fix for it is to simply turn off your wi-fi in the settings menu. Atleast it works every time for me. It is a bit of a hassle, but I prefer to be able to play, than not to play. Very strange, but it works..
I am having the same problem. I tried the reboot multiple times with no positive result. I went into settings-reset and chose "Reset Network Settings." The game works now but I have to log back into my wifi after I play the game. I hope the update comes soon.
Like I said, I just turn off wi-fi before I play, and then back on when I'm done. It is a hassle, but I'm sure they'll fix it in an update soon. At least it is playable.
this is very annoying i have the 3g version since i unlocked the second and third set of levels it crashes if i put it in aeroplane mode it works but when i turn 3g back on it wont connect the the 3g network correctly causing more time wasted just to play this game. i dont want to uninstall and reinstall cos the same issue will happen when i finish the first set of levels and i dont really want to start again this needs fixing quickly
Today I discovered that Angry Birds HD on my iPad won't start. My co-workers and I play it every day and it's always worked up until now.
After reading this thread I found that turning the 'Cellular Data' feature off or enabling 'Airplane Mode' fixes the problem. Before that I tried both a device reset
and a restart, and neither worked.
I really admire developers monitoring these forums regarding their product. Kudos to you and your team. The iPad is such a new platform and yet it's become huge so fast. The enormity of its evolution and growth can really overwhelm developers. Thanks for trying and hanging in there!
I have tried everything solution mentioned above and still nothing. When I try to open Angry Birds, my phone screen goes blank and then back to my app icons. Does anyone have any further suggestions? I've thought about deleting and reloading the app but then I've read other paces that still does nothing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have also updated my iPhone to 4.01 and updated Angry Birds hoping that would work, but no!!
Is Wifi enabled when you try to start Angry Birds?
On the iPad there was a bug that the game started (black screen) and returned to springboard. I disabled Wifi and the game starts normal. After an update the problem for the iPad version of Angry Birds was solved.
Perhaps this is also an issue with the iPhone version.
