can't get verizon.net mail to work

I have a Yahoo mail account that was working on my iPod Touch mail for some time now. and still does... but

Since updating to iOS4 and being able to add other mail accounts, I tried to add my verizon.net mail (it's actually yahoo verizon mail) but the settings are not working, all I get is 'The mail server "incoming.verizon.net" is not responding'.

What am I doing wrong?
