Little Lock with a circle
Okay...this may be a dumb question, but what is the little lock with a circle around it in the upper right hand corner of the iP4?
Mac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)
it means that your screen is locked, il won't rotate

How do you unlock it?
That indicates your phone is locked in portrait orientation. To unlock double click the home button and swipe left in the recently opened app list displayed at the bottom. You can then unlock by tapping the icon with the lock and a circle around it.

press the home button twice and you'll see like the dock on a mac Slide it until you see an icon like a square with a round arrow in it. Press it

Nope. There is nothing on my screen like a dock or anything that allows me to unlok that stupid circle. And I followed your directions. iPhone 5, upm to date iOS.
