White Screen/Black Screen. Error 21

Hello everyone.

I am trying to fix my IPOD. I am getting a white screen or a black screen upon starting it up.

I have tried a lot of things including several attempts at a restore but I get an error 21. I have disabled/uninstalled all security software, but it did not help.

If I leave the IPOD sit for 4-5 hours, I do get an apple logo but it goes away after 20-30 seconds, and I go back to the repeated white screens and black screens.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

My warranty is up, so exchange is not an option.
