Hi iFriend,

try this, it worked for me:

1) first of all, uninstall QuickTime and older versions of iTunes from your PC, using the "remove" button in the "install applications" tool that you find in the windows control panel.

2) reboot the system

3) turn off the windows firewall application; go into the windows control panel, double click on windows firewall and disable the firewall option

4) if you have one, disable your Anti-Virus application; i mean its real-time protection.

5) probably it's not necessary, but for being sure... download and launch the standalone installer of QuickTime (latest version)

6) download and launch the iTunes + QuickTime installer from this web address

7) as an option, i suggest you to download and install also iTunes Art Importer. It's a nice application, that allows you to import from the internet directly into iTunes the album ArtWorks of the selected tracks in iTunes. I installed it, and it works very well with iTunes 6.

8) after all the installations, remember to enable both firewall and anti-virus previously disabled!

as i said, probably the 5th passage is not necessary, but i did it and it worked!

if you have any questions or feedbacks, just relpy to this topic. stay iTuned! 🙂

bye, bye,

Marco

hi burndave!

i cant get I tunes to work even after i think a succseful un install....I am getting a error message 2095 and quick time wont work .......any ideas

for a #2095 (and a #2093, too), try a careful standalone QT 7.0.4 reinstall.

download and save a copy of the QT 7.0.4 standalone installer to your hard drive. (we'll run the install from there rather than online.) switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.

Quicktime 7.0.4 Standalone Installer

if that install goes through okay, does your itunes work properly again?

hi,
please help!!

Okay so i have tried pretty much everything (excluding throwing my pc down a flight of stairs! which i may have to do very soon!)

i tried your tips but it didnt work for me.

i had iTunes 4 then an upgrade cae up one day. i pushed okay it downloaded but before it finished it stopped completely. then it cleared itself completely from my computer. i uninstalled quicktime then tried to reinstall both. however this failed saying "The installation shield was interrupted before installation could be completed please try again later".

soo..... i left it for a few days.

tried again to no avail. i have spent 3 months trying to get it working. i have gotten rid of the anti-virus program(avg), still doesnt worked. completely deleted anything to do with iTunes and Quicktime, still doesnt install. i even tried installing iTunes again off my cd that i got with my mini ipod, still nothing improves. there are no viruses or worms or anything on the computer. and have only filled up like half of the memory availabe on the computer.

i have restarted the computer countless times, reconfigured my ipod which now has reset itself so no i have no songs to listen to!!

i am completely stuffed!!

please, please, please, someone help me! im going insane because i cant listen to music on my pc or ipod!

HELP!!!

thanks, me 🙂
