The Frustration Continues...

Well, Here's the latest. While this doesn't directly involve the iPad, it most definitely indirectly does! I recently put the new iOS4 on my iPod Touch and guess what... Now my iPod Touch is doing the SAME THING I returned my iPad for!!! It drops my wifi connection after about 40 minutes and I have to "forget" the network and re-establish it to continue using wifi. EXACTLY what the iPad was doing!!! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Point taken Meg. And I did post on the "Touch" forum. There's a correlation here that needs to be addressed. I'm mostly just venting but I have to believe this problem is related as it is EXACTLY the same issue I was having with the iPad. Prior to the 4.0 upgrade my iPod Touch worked flawlessly... Even when the iPad would not. There is no way you can call it coincidence.
As far as my router, I have the latest firmware. that was one of the steps I took when I had the problem with my iPad.

But it's not the same. Your Touch stopped working after you upgraded to iOS 4. Your iPad didn't work and hasn't been upgraded to iOS 4. This would lead me to believe the iPad has one problem and the Touch has a different one that may be related to the installation of the new software. So, yeah, I'd definitely call it a coincidence.

From what I understand iOS4 is not available for the iPad yet. This leads me to believe that whatever flawed technology was used on the iPad was also thrown into the mix, so to speak, on the iOS4 upgrade on my iPod Touch. Savvy?

If your Touch worked fine before you upgraded, then the problem may be related to the upgrade. Just because the iPad displays the same symptoms does not in any way indicate the causes are related.

However, you should make sure your router has up to date firmware.
