Cracked iPhone 4 glass. Visa coverage?

I am sorry you cracked the glass on your iPhone, I know it really had to be a downer.

Okay, that covers the sympathy part. An "act of God" would be if you dropped it due to an earthquake or it was struck by lightning.

You would have to call Visa and ask them what their policy is regarding accidental damage. No one here can speak for Visa.

Visa offers nothing. It is just a passthrough to your card issuer or bank. Call your card issuer; they are the only ones who know what is covered. We can't even guess.

What good would user input do? We don't know which bank your Visa card is issued through or what their policies are. You need to call the support number on your card and ask them or go to their website.

OK, here is my User Input: One of my Visa cards would cover the replacement, because it covers accidental damage during the first 2 years. Another of my Visa cards does not. My American Express card covers it also, and in addition doubles the Apple 1 year warranty.

So how helpful was that user input?

I've never heard Act of God used in conjunction with accidental damage coverage by a credit card company. This clause is more often stuffed in to the fine print of car insurance and home insurance policies.

I got a small crack in mine and I read on some of these forums that some Apple stores were replacing phones with cracked screens so I thought I'd try it. Sure enough. They replaced my phone with a brand new one at no cost. I was told the boss decided to cover it because, "The glass should have been stronger than that." He said that because I didn't actually drop my phone to get the crack. I had the phone in my pocket with NOTHING else but my Apple headphones. It must have been the headphone jack because you could see a small chip and then the crack. Kind of like a car windshield. Good luck to all of you who crack your screen.
