No, unless you can Google and find a way to use the camera adapter, which some people have made work for some devices.

If it's a case of transferring docs, you cold use one of the 'cloud' services like DropBox or Box.net which can be free or cheap, depending on the amount of data.

That won't help if you're going to have internet connection issues, of course

Most USB thumb drives with work with the camera connection kit. However, you can only download photos and videos from the device to your iPad. You can't write to the device. The photos and video must be in a format supported by the iPad. The photos and videos must be placed in a folder titled "DCIM" in the root directly of the device. The devise must be formatted in FAT 16 or 32.

You can copy from a memory stick but you can't copy to a memory stick.
