I have roughly 28000 songs in my itunes libraby but when i go to sync it only uploads 24000 songs i know a few of the missing artists but with this many songs i can't find them all. How do i fix this so all my songs sync? Yes i've restored and also my ipod is more than big enough 160g.

    Hello Deadly Cheeze,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!

How do you have your iPod set up to sync music? If you have it set up to "Sync only checked songs and videos" from under the Summary tab make sure there is a tick mark next to each track you wish to sync. Otherwise, under the Music tab what options do you have selected? Sync entire music library or something else?

Are you receiving any error messages upon syncing?

I have addressed all of the above options. There is one error message that states that 7 items wont play. I have deleted these items, they are not important, porblem still exists.

    Thanks

So I'm assuming you are comparing your song count on your iPod under the About settings to the song count in your iTunes library correct?

Are there any duplicate tracks in your library? You can check by heading to the File menu and choosing "Show Duplicates." If there are, these may not sync to your iPod. So what options do you have selected from under the Summary and Music tabs for your iPod?

So after deleting those 7 tracks you no longer receive any error messages?

Their are duplicates so that solves the numbers issue but when I restored my ipod this morning it only uploaded 9000 tracks roughly. it gave me one more error message: Itunes could not copy"longshot"to the ipod"the cheeze's ipod"because an unknown error occurred [-69]

in summary i have checked convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps and enable disc use. In the music tab I have: Sync music and entire music library checked. all oter selections are undone i.e. no podcasts no tv shows no movies. Just the music.

Awesome. Glad to hear you got that resolved.

Check out this Apple support document.
[iTunes displays a -69 error when syncing iPod|http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1210]

Not sure if will help, so you may want to do a Google search on this error. There are literally hundreds of potential solutions, but as to which one applies to you is hard to say.

How did you get your iPod to sync all you had in iTunes? It won't sync an audiobook I have--though it synced two others. ???? Help! Thanks. Cassie
