White iPhone release?

Apple's not said anything more than "second half of July" that I've seen.

Your guess is as good as anyone's here, however, why should the white iPhones be any different to the black? Apple need to fix the issues first, although the white are the same, so not sure why they should be any different to the black.

And, only Apple knows on the launch date. When you see it announced, then you'll be informed. Speculating on anything Apple does violates TOS, but more importantly, most Apple rumors are false.

I bet they had issues with the proximity sensor on the white phone, especially since there has been chatter about light bouncing around the ear canal (or some such nonsense) causing sensor issues.

So the proximity sensor on the white iPhones have to have some sort of physical outlet (the grills) due to the way light reflects off of the color? Is that right?

Well the white phones, at least the pictures Ive seen, have a grill where the sensor is.....So I think Im returning my back one...if they had to do this for the white ones, then it seems that its a hardware problem

The white model was announced along with the black model was it not?

The shipment date for the white iPhone, however, has not been announced, so anything anyone here could say at this point is speculation and rumor.
