Best phone for iSync?

Hello,

I am at a crossroads with service providers and phones. I would like very good iSync compatibility. Contacts/Address Book is by far the most important, but iCal (Calendar and ToDo List) would be very nice as well.

I am not interested in installing Palm Manager to use with iSync because I feel it is a "hack" solution. I have used a Treo in the past and found the phone bulky and unmanageable. Thus, a Palm-based phone is not up for consideration this time around.

I would rather have a streamlined iSync-friendly phone. I have contacts with multiple numbers (home, work, cell) which must be supported and easy to manage. I have been eyeying the Moto V3 Razr, but am still not sure what the consensus is on that one in regards to iSync friendliness.

Finally, I absolutely do NOT want to spend any time or frustration fiddling with my contact data and trying to get fields to match up, etc. I am sure some of you know what I mean by this...I just want a graceful Mac-based solution and I want it to work. 🙂

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I imagine the RAZR would work very well, however your to-do list won't be transfered, I have a Motorola V500 (not that good a phone because the chargers a bit dodgey) but with regards to iSync it's amazing, it syncs my Uni Calender from iCal, so I have all my lectures on it, with alarms as in iCal that go 15 mins before each lecture, the only, and it syncs my contacts too. It is very easy and just works, as the RAZR is also made by motorola it should be the same, but if it has a pin charger then that they are rubbish 😟 but its a cool phone all the same

Hope this helps.

Since

1) I have an excellent digicam (and I know how much, even at 2 megapixels, camera phones are bad bad bad),
2) I have an iPod (and I don't see the need of having one do-it-all device)
3) I read the isync forum where users voice their problems,
4) I am used to the Nokia interface ...

I decided I needed first and foremost a PHONE (and not a digicam *** mp3 player) that synced with my Mac, that had to be a Nokia and that had to be relatively cheap so as to minimize the dollar risk of finding out it couldn't sync.

Among the "compatible Nokia phones", the one I had read the least issues about in the forums was the 6600.

It is old, it is bulky, it is slow (its bluetooth has a 3kb/s transfer rate!!!), its battery life is only acceptable and, as expected, its camera really stinks and it won't accept mp3's as ringtones but it meets all your criteria (contacts/address book, calendar, todo's). Plus it is very cheap. I got mine new but you could even get it used for not much more than peanuts. I did I mention its screen is really great?
