I've had my 13" MBP about two weeks and already the USB devices don't fit snugly in the USB ports, they can easily become loose and loose their connection with the computer. Anyone else had this problem?

I haven't seen this problem reported here before, so I suspect it's quite unusual. Make a Genius Bar appointment to have your machine checked out.

I have the same problem with my MBP 13" 2010. Do you have find solution ? or Genuis bar make anythings ?

I'm on holiday so I haven't been able to take in to be looked at yet.

Last week the entire computer failed in a big way, became unuseable. Sent it back.

I have exactly the same problem with my 13" Mid-2009 MBP.

It's never been abused or misused.

The USB ports have always been a little loose, but I never really gave it much thought until one day when I moved the cable and it caused a kernel panic. I was able to replicate the condition and confirm that it was directly related to the USB ports.

Most of the time, there's no problem with it. I just need exercise a degree of care when using the ports.

It's still under AppleCare, so I may just ask to have it fixed under warranty.

make a feed back about what Applecare have fix on your mac, and what are you said to the genuis bar?

If and when I get around to taking it in, I will post the outcome here.
It's a long drive to the nearest Apple Store, and it seems to be tolerable at this point.
Unless things start to get worse, I will probably just let it be.

I have the same issue with my 15" bought in April. One port is so loose it hardly latches on at all. Makes me nervous.

I have a similar problem with my 13" Mid 2010 Macbook pro. The only difference is the back port of the two doesn't work at all.

Some things will take power from the port, such as my usb hub, and a midi keyboard, however they don't actually work.

If I plug in my apple keyboard and mouse, they don't even get power. This means I'm forced to run my mouse and audio interface from the 2 usb ports underneath the keyboard, leaving no spare ports for my midi keyboard.

I'll take it in next week. Can't at the moment as I've just borrowed some studio monitors for a week and I don't want to me Mac'less the one week I have them!

My 15" USB ports are also doing the same one, the left one, or one more towards the rear of the computer, is really loose that it scares me... I'm not sure if I should go to the bar... I do have applecare, but i have no idea if it would be covered....

You certainly should have it looked at by a technician. Whether it's covered under AppleCare or not will depend on what the technician concludes about the cause of the damage.

so I'm not alone I was starting to think that I have some kind of mind problems...

Since the months I bought it I have this problem... not always, but often, when the MAC waked up from sleep I found all the USB-pen/key drive forced ejected.. sometimes this cause several DATA lost.

Reading the discussion here I start think that apple might call back some machine to solve this issue..

(of course the same USB pens/keys, are now plugged for a month in a old PC with win7 that goes and come back from sleep with the USB-dries plugged in...

Do you think I have to go to an apple store here in paris ? I can't replicate the problem all the time.. si some kind of a random problem that happens too much often..

I have a 13" MBP mid 2010 too and I have the same problem. When this came as a replacement (2nd recplacement to my original purchase in 08) last december, one of the first things I realised was that my usb drives wouldn't fit properly in the ports. Small movememnt and it would immediately eject the disk. I ignored it for so long thinking that I have had to undergo way too many replacements... (2 macbooks, 5 earphones, 1 iphone) but now I guess when I'm working with 2 external portable HDs its getting difficult.

Can you tell me what was the solution to your problem?

PS: the minidisplay port and the card reader also has a similar problem.
