Can't get Mail 4.3 to work on new Mac Mini

Hi! Hope someone can help. I have set my preferences in Mail 4.3 to look exactly the same as what I have set up in the G4 FW800 with 10.5.8. I have imported the mailbox from the G4. That worked. I deleted the /Home/Library/Mail/folder from the MacMini but have not emptied trash yet.I copied the old one on the G4 to the Mac Mini. I also copied the com.apple.mail...plist file from the G4 to the MacMini. I still can't get the Mail 4.3 to collect mail from comcast. I really don't want to hold onto the G4 just to get my email. Thanks for any help!

Don't go any farther.
Go to Applications>Utilities>migration assistant.
and follow the steps.... and under no circumstance do not erase your G4 for a couple of days....until everything is working fine.
But do not use 2 machines to do the same mails.... unless you have a mobile me sync. They will be splitted between two machines.
If nothing works... why not set an appointment at the genius bar of you closest apple store ?

Good luck !

Sorry for the confusion. I was following the advice that Kappy gave someone in http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2485802&tstart=50

I didn't delete the file. Just moved it to trash.

However, I have tried something else. I looked at the best practices and I reinstalled the whole package and did a migration from my G4. All this did was move a few applications over. My settings for mail did not change. Nor did my bookmarks for Firefox move over. I can get the internet with no problems just not mail.

Thanks for your help!
Brian
