While I am typing, the iPhone (iOS 4) will occasionally talk (text-to-speech) while I type. It's not every word or every letter. I do not know what it is, how I turned it on, or how to turn it off.

Does anybody know what has happened?

Speak Auto-text speaks the text corrections and suggestions iPhone makes when you’re typing.
Turn Speak Auto-text on or off: In Settings, choose General > Accessibility and tap the Speak Auto-text switch.
