Apple Replacement

so i scratched my ipod classic screen pretty badly and i have no idea how it happened and i want a new screen. ive been told that i can send it to some websites and they will replace it but i dont trust them. does apple replace screens? im willing to pay for it from apple. and does applecare cover scratched screens?
