Cleaning cloth included?

My iPad did not, but the Apple iPad case DID come with a cloth.

Go to Wal-Mart eyeglass department and ask for a few micro-fiber clean cloths. Sometimes they will just give them to you for free... They gave five free cloths. Use it for a few months then trash it.

Apparently nobody at Apple is aware that the new Apple cases have a black cleaning cloth included. The sales people at the Apple store seemed somewhat aware of this and suggested that I check the online store. Nothing there. I called Apple support and went through all the supervisors, and they were clueless. I have noticed several people who recently purchased an Apple iPad case, and it came with a black micro-fiber cloth that perfectly fits the screen. I bought my Apple iPad case a couple of months ago and it didn't come with the cloth. I am trying to get one without paying $39 for a new case, but all I get when I ask about this is blank stares in person, or total befuddlement with the support people on the phone.

Am I just imagining this? Or is there really a black micro-fiber cloth for cleaning the iPad screen, and if so, why is this such a mystery to the Apple people?

The micro-fiber cloths from Walmart work great.
If you have to buy them you get an 8 pack for less than 10 bucks.

I got no cloth with my apple case when I bought it a couple of months ago, so they didn't all come with one.

Mine iPad case did not come with a cleaning cloth but you can get a microfiber cleaning cloth (in the eyeglasses care section) for about $4. Works great and is washable for long lifetime.

I use a camera lens cleaning cloth, myself. I was just commenting that no, if some apple cases came with a cloth (I don't know one way or the other), not all of them did.

Not with the iPad but I sometimes use the small black microfibre cloth that came with my MacBook Pro.
Usually use a microfibre glass cleaning cloth for the MBP and iPad though ~ hand washed every few days as I don't want scratches from a gritty cloth on either of them.

Apparently, as the rumor goes, there was a small batch of Apple cases that included cleaning cloths but Apple flipped the "kill switch" on the idea. Instead of freaking out and messing up inventory, they just allowed the cases to be sent to stores and warehouses.

Well they definitely exist with the cases. Originally had an iPad and case but didn't need it so sold it, got some vouchers the other day so bought one again and ordered a case from the Apple online store last Wednesday. It arrived on Monday and had a cloth in there, was surprised as the original case didn't have one. Guess it's a pot luck thing?!?!

I bought an iPad a couple of weeks ago at Target when they first started carrying them. I picked up the Apple black case as well, and it came with the mysterious black cloth. It wasn't listed on the packaging; the box just says enclosed: case. I had no idea what it for for; since it fits the screen perfectly I thought maybe it was just a protective cover to place over the screen when transporting the iPad via the case. That's pretty much all I've been doing with it as I wasn't sure it was safe to use as a cleaning cloth. It has a black Apple logo on it. It feels a little thicker and stiffer compared to other microfiber cloths I've used.

Got iPad and case from NY but a friend at uni bought his case here in the UK, his came with the apple cloth. Been back to the store and they said they were aware but couldn't help, called the online store and AppleCare and they said there was nothing they could do either. The representatives on the phone weren't even aware of the issue!!
I know I can buy them in packs elsewhere, but I don't see why I should have to when I paid for the same product as somebody else, and got less for my money!

I ordered a case from Apple last week. They shipped it FedEx from China to Michigan, USA, and it did have the black cloth included.
