Apple Watch ECG Under age 22

Does anyone know why you need to be over the age of 22 to access the ECG Feature on the Series 4

That article says that the the FDA letters say that the features "are not intended to be used by people under the age of 22." It doesn't say they are turned off.


Edit: But, if the FDA told Apple it isn't cleared for use by people under 22, then Apple needs to abide by that.

Check here for availability in your region: ECG


ECG will not work on beta versions of watchOS or iOS and requires the current version of iOS and watchOS.
