Unable to update and download apps in the Mac App Store after updated to macOS 10.14.2.
The error given is in the attached screen shot.
"The product distribution file could not be verified. It may be damaged or was not signed."

I am not using any VPN. The issue was gone the day after I posted here. It seems like server issue but I checked the Apple System Status page Mac App Store was okay... Anyway, thanks for helping 😊
Log out any VPN software, the problem should be solved.
I have the same problem, and am not using VPN, but it still isn't working. I'm getting this message with any new software I try to buy.
