2016 Audi A8L MMI support in UAE

I have a 2016 Audi A8L and having a bit of trouble with the MMI system. While I’m able to connect my iPhone X via Bluetooth and play the music via the cars audio system, I’m unable to access the music folders or playlists on the cars infotainment system. The phone is updated to the latest iOS version.

Interestingly enough, I don’t have this problem on my 2011 BMW 750li, which also happens to be a German car, but with just superior features.

Is there a way for me to update the cars firmware?

All help and support is welcome.

Hey, aps5775,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand that you're having trouble getting your iPhone X connected with the Bluetooth in your Audi. Specifically, you'd like to know how to update the firmware in the car. I'm happy to help!

Updating the firmware in your car is actually a great step to take if you're having trouble connecting your iPhone. You can usually do that through a dealership, but I'd recommend reaching out to Audi directly to find out their recommendation, and to confirm what features the A8L supports.

In addition to updating the car's firmware, the remaining steps in If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod doesn't connect to or work in your car - Apple Support may also be helpful.

Cheers!
