The option to turn off two-factor authentication is absent from the Apple ID page

I have followed the Apple website's instructions to visit appleid.apple.com and log in. On the "Manage your Apple ID" page, I clicked "edit" in the "Security" section. It shows that two-factor authentication on, but there is nowhere any option to turn it off. The word "On" is in black letters and is not clickable. Has something changed or am I missing something?

Hi efreewalt,

this is actually expected. If you activated two-factor authentication within the past two weeks you can still turn it off with the link in the email you received after activating it. Once you passed the two weeks mark you won't be able to turn it off again.
