Updating iWork

I have iWork08, but my MacOS Mojave. I no longer can get iWork programmes such as Keynote to work. I have downloaded the new iWork 9.3 and this says it cannot open because it cannot find iWork 09. I have managed to update Pages and this functions well. My Numbers programme also functions well. How can I get Keynote to work?

For all intents and purposes, you should consider iWork '08 and '09 dead on Mojave. Pages '09 v4.3 simply does not work (even with Mojave 10.14, 10.14.1, and 10.14.2. I have seen reports that Numbers '09 and Keynote '09 may still work to some degree, but the handwriting is on the wall.

There is no iWork 9.3 (full installer download) and the iWork 9.3 updater requires a prior installation from the iWork '09 DVD.

The current applications in the Mac App Store, Pages v7.3 , Numbers v5.3, and Keynote v8.3 will open iWork '08 and '09 documents, but once converted by these newer applications, they will no longer be in the original document format.
