Keyboard input sources bug in Mojave?

I've upgraded to Mojave 10.14.1 (and later 10.14.2) on Macbook Pro 13 (2014), and since then have a problem modifying and switching the keyboard language settings.

Specifically:

  • Trying to add additional keyboard languages through "Input sources" doesn't work - can't switch between the languages afterwards, though it does appear in the "input source menu".

Resetting the Macbook doesn't help.



  • "Pages" software stuck on single language, without option to switch between different languages.

This is a glitch with your particular install. Try a safe boot

also see if you have the same problem if you set up a new user acct and log into that
