Apple Pay on Mac - can't add cards

When I first set up this new 2018 Air, I entered my cards on the Mac for Apple Pay. When I tried to use it, I find the cards weren't saved, so I need to enter them again.

When I try to add cards, I get the message "disable automatic login". When I go to Security and Privacy, I have Require Password enabled, but Disable Automatic Login is greyed out and I can't choose it.

Thanks.

I solved the problem, and it was right in front of me. When looking at the Security and Privacy General tab, at bottom left is 'Click the lock to make changes'. After doing that, I was able to select the Disable Automatic login option. Then, I could re-add my cards to Apple Way.

I still don't know why they were lost after I first added them, but they are there now.
