Does Apple Care plus protection works ?

I own a 2017 MacBook Pro 15 inches & was purchased with Apple Care + protection plan till Aug 2020. It’s stated that cover includes cover for up to 2 Accidental damages due to handling on display, subject to repair cost of $99. My screen got broken accidentally and I took it to an authorized local service provider in Nigeria (Ensure Solutions LTD) and the bill comes up to cost of purchasing replacement screen and service cost.

I want to understand what Apple Care + works for?

I want to understand the screen damage covered if I’ll have to pay for the screen replacement. And the screen isn’t damage from Exposure due to liquid spills.

As far as I know, the new Applecare + is available in the US; the regular Applecare is still available in other regions/counries and does not include accidental damage.

So, where did you buy the device and which Applecare plan did you buy and register?

I bought it from the U.S. I’m in Nigeria and I visited an Apple authorized service provider here. I believe the Apple Care + is a global service.

To go back to your original question - you will need to contact Apple. None of us regular users can answer a question that concerns itself with legal coverage questions/answers of an Apple product in a foreign country. I also cannot answer your question about a service provider's charges. You need to address that with them and/or Apple. You purchased the Apple care + plan in the US, but are looking for service in Nigeria - I do not know if that is covered in that country either. Remember that everyone here is just another user, not employed by Apple.
