iPad Pro WiFi issue with USB-C

With Apple’s headphone adapter plugged into the USB-C port on my shiny 2018 iPad Pro 12.9”, experience WiFi dropouts. Remove the cable and the problem disappears. Same thing happened with a third-party headphone adapter. Help me, Apple-1, you’re my only hope.

Same issue with the 11” iPad Pro. You may also notice that the wake/power button stops working. You can’t turn off the iPad unless you go through settings. I am using Apple’s headphone adapter with Apple’s headphones. You can connect to a different WiFi source, it accepts the new IP address, but there is no network connection.
