I am using the notes app and would like to create subfolders. When looking into forums and various places, it mentions upgrading apple notes to enjoy all of the features, like subfolders...however, I am unable to create any subfolders on my Mac, iPad, or iPhone. Please advise.

The Apple Notes apps is a basic notes and sketching app.
The Apple Notes app for iOS has no subfolders feature.
It is not even mentioned as a feature in the iOS App Store description.
If you need/want a subfolder feature and other more comprehensive note features, you will have to seek out and search tge iOS App Store for other third party notes apps that support this feature.

This workaround doesn't work for me. When I open Notes on the iCloud "Desktop Site", the file is too big to use (doesn't fit on the iphone screen). And the subfolders created on the desktop version of Notes are ignored - just as they are when syncing normally. I guess I'll be looking for something else as Apple suggested.
Using iCloud is NOT a “local” device solution.
