Responses like this are infuriating. It's almost 100% not a repair issue. There are so many complaints about the new MacBook Air fan running. Might be nice if someone just said. THAT'S JUST THE WAY IT IS SUCKER....

PS - I just brought mine home from the Apple store this afternoon, and I'm SHOCKED at the fan noise. I didn't even think to ask prior to purchase. I thought we had moved past that. I'm actually considering returning it.

Mine works just fine. You have a new machine still under warranty. What's your problem about taking it back? Then you reply rudely to me for making the suggestion. Might be nice if you just said thank you, instead.

I had the same problem with fan noise and I gave back the new MacBook Air 2018, i bought becouse is more portable but I back with my 2017 Mac book pro, is so frustrating have a Mac book air 2018 with fan noise ( you buy a Mac not a PC) even without making anything with the computer you can hear the fan a litle bit, never saw that in my olds MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro.
