Macbook Pro retina has lines across the screen

My Macbook Pro 13 inch retina, early 2015 has constant flickering lines preventing me from using the machine. I have attached a picture below. I ran apple diagnostics test and it has shown that there are no issues found. I have connected the laptop to a monitor and there are no issues with display on monitor. What could be the possible cause?

Macbook (2015 or later)

Hi christinag8!

I see that you're having display issues with your MacBook Pro, and I'm happy to help. Please try the following resets:

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac

How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

Cheers!

If the basics of resetting SMC and NVRAM don't resolve the issue— I would suspect a hardware failure: cable, cable connection, GPU, or LED/LCD.

In that case take it in for assessment:

In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test
