How to uninstall XCode? Under Mojave 10.14.1

Can someone describe how, or point me to a reliable method to uninstall XCode, and all of its various parts? I've done some googling on this and it seems that removing the application itself is only part of the chore; getting the other bits, I'm unclear as to how to properly get them all.

Thank you

If you installed Xcode from the Mac App Store, open Launchpad,

navigate to the pane where Xcode is located, press and hold

the mouse over it until the icons start to wiggle and the little

"x" in the corner appears, then click the "x" to delete. Just dragging to

the trash if installed from the Mac App Store can mess up the database

and you could a) continue to get notified about updates or b) be

unable to re-install because the database thinks it is still installed.

Found this out the hard way (different app from the Mac App Store)

and ended up having to rollback to a point before I removed

the app.

I don’t believe that I installed from the App store..I got a prompt from the code editor Atom, to download XCode as part of enabling Atom to work with Git repos; I later decided that that functionality wasn’t important to me. Read a few things online that simply removing the App icon won’t rid all of the other files associated with XCode, so became a bit concerned.

Thank you!
