How to uninstall XCode? Under Mojave 10.14.1

If you installed Xcode from the Mac App Store, open Launchpad,

navigate to the pane where Xcode is located, press and hold

the mouse over it until the icons start to wiggle and the little

"x" in the corner appears, then click the "x" to delete. Just dragging to

the trash if installed from the Mac App Store can mess up the database

and you could a) continue to get notified about updates or b) be

unable to re-install because the database thinks it is still installed.

Found this out the hard way (different app from the Mac App Store)

and ended up having to rollback to a point before I removed

the app.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I see you have a question about uninstalling an app.

In recent macOS versions, deleting Xcode should be just like uninstalling any other app; you'd open Finder > Applications, and then drag Xcode to your trash: How to delete apps on your Mac.

Xcode itself is pretty much self-contained.

I imagine it was the command line utilities that Atom needed. I wouldn't worry about them.

Search for Command Line. The download has a description of what is installed.
