I have a table of project management. I want to create a grantt chart in Numbers. I search and follow the instructions on the Internet but I find a difficulty as picture below:
It does not match with my Start Date typed on the table. Please help me
first, is that column of data formatted as a date data type?
If not then it is being recorded as record 1, 2, 3..... by row.
Also gannt charts usually have a start date, and duration. you are only showing a date column. without a duration you have nothing to chart except a single point at the start point.

At the top of page, 11, my (Barry's) September 9, 2015 post, showing my reproduction of Jerry's table, followed by instructions on how to build the document.
These were written for Numbers '09, but use formulas that are also supported in current versions of Numbers.
Second post on page 11: SGIII's GANNT Chart version, using fewer (and simpler) formulas combined with conditional highlighting. SG includes instructions in his post as well.
Page 12: Jesse Wonder Clark posted a link to "a much simpler GANNT-ish spreadsheet" Numbers document on iCloud.
My attempt to download it today brought this result:

Also on page 12, Anatoly Tamilin has posted a link to his version of a GANNT chart document, and some notes on that document. Yellowbox downloaded th file, and made some edits, which he comments on in a post on Page 13 (currently the last page of the discussion.
Note that a change in policy by Apple part way through that conversation eliminated the publication of user email addresses in their user profiles as well as in messages posted in Apple Support Communities. Ignore ALL parts of the conversation regarding emails to Jerry, to me, or to other participants in the thread. You can download the templates from the links in the posts noted above, or can construct a copy of the document using the instructions or notes in the posts as noted above.
