My cursor is grabbing things and not letting go

It’s grabbing my files and then they stick to it and Idk what to do so plz help me

My 2010 Mac Pro does that occasionally, too. Pressing the Esc key gets it to let go, but that alone doesn't fix the problem. You have to restart.
