Eduroam weird connection issue

Hi,

One main reason I bought Apple watch over other watches is that I expect to be able to check emails when my phone is away.

I have the WiFi version, so it needs to connect to the WiFi before emails can be checked. I work in the university which supplies the eduroam wifi virtually every corner. However, I found that my watch can never automatically connect to it without me doing something.

I bring up the setting-->WiFi menu, it then tries to connect to eduroam, but everytime it will fail with saying the password is wrong, while it has been tested multiple times by reenterring the password. Turning OFF and then ON does not help.

The funny and only working way so far is that, I make it connect to another password-free connection, for example, another wifi provided by the school which is password-free to connect but then there will be a captive portal. I make it connect to that, it will fail. After it has failed, it will automatically try to go back to eduroam, and it will work. This has been tested 20 times or more in a month everytime I swim.
