PRAM using Terminal = nvram Error

I currently purchase a Mac Mini 2018 which includes Mojave, updated to 10.14.2. Using the PRAM keys on my Apple latest wireless keyboard won't PRAM my Mac so I researched on how this is done with Terminal. Several websites suggested using (sudo nvram boot-args=”-p -r”) without the quotes, but when I try this, I get this message (nvram: Error setting variable - 'boot-args': (iokit/common) not permitted).

Is there anyway to get this going?

Thank you.
