Newest MacBook Air with bad wifi+ bluetooth???

I literally have my MacBook Air 2018 for two weeks and I have had several issues with the wifi already. The wifi of my former MacBook Air, a macbook out of 2011, is 10x quicker and same counts for the bluetooth.

The wifi sometimes just stops and then I have to reconnect etc. or restart my computer. The bluetooth needs to be put on and of a couple of times before I have connection. (or in worst case I need to restart my laptop)

To be honest, I am really annoyed. I was happier with my former macbook while I had high expectations for this new version. Does anyone know what this could be?

MacBook Air (2018 or later)

Hi Rchllvlln ,

Welcome to apple Discussions.

Try This :

Start the AirPort Utility, select your AirPort Extreme in the left side bar, then click the "Manual Setup" button at the bottom of the main window.

Click on the "AirPort" icon at the top of the window and on the "Wireless" tab.

Change the channel from "Automatic" to 1, 6 or 11, then click "Update" and allow your AirPort Express to reboot and see if your throughput improves.

Cheers.
